The Ferrari 458 Italia is about as typical of a Ferrari as a car can get. The famous and iconic brand of sports car is made famous by its low down car bodies, which hunch seemingly just millimetres from the floor on which you are driving. Then there is the colour - that patented red shade that has come to signify Ferrari almost more than the cars do nowadays, and which is the shade that embodies Ferrari on their merchandise and laptops. Bright, like a fire engine. On top of this is the shape - the very embodiments of Ferraris thoroughbred mustang theme, strong and powerful yet quite clearly sleek and wonderfully elegant. Every characteristic I have listed the 458 Italia has, in abundance.

From the front this car looks like a typical smooth sports car shape, whereas from behind it actually looks a lot chunkier and meaner. This seems to be quite a happy merging of style and attitude, as everyone knows that a car can't have one without the other Autel MaxiSys Pro. A pretty car is always a disappointment if it doesn't drive well at all, whilst a car that drives like a dream but looks like it climbed out of the sea a million years ago is never going to get bought. Ferrari clicked years ago that cars had to look good, and despite a few mistakes they generally don't get this wrong.

The 458's engine is a V8, meaning that it has a maximum power of 570 CV (425 kW) at 9000 rpm which is enough to make this sportscar prove its worth. Of course we know that as a replacement to the F430 it would have some big boots to fill, which is presumably why the designers have combined power with a completely new design. Sometime sit is easier to create something new than to adapt something old. Perhaps the most interesting engine feature to note of the 458 is the fact that, for the first time ever in a Ferrari mid-rear engine car Autel MaxiPRO MP808TS, this features direct fuel injection.

People I know who have driven this car have complemented it on its handling. Whilst the car is of course not easy to drive (what is the point of having an untamed stallion like this is you just stick in an automatic and a 1 litre engine?) its handling is designed to be much better at cornering and other such suspension bits and pieces. Whilst I haven't driven one I know of people who allege that they have, and this advancement was one of the first things that they mentioned when asked what it was like.

All in all the Ferrari 458 Italia is a supercar and a Ferrari through and through. We don't have any talk of luxury and beauty in this brand without it being delivered, and I actually feel that this is the most attractive cars in their range at the moment. It isn't exactly main stream, but I am sure new and used Ferrari owners everywhere will be coveting this particular model, green-eyed with envy!
